Potwine House

20 Gray Street, Amherst, MA

Potwine House, c. 1825

The Potwine House was moved to 20 Gray Street in April 2008. The buildings is one of the original houses that stood on the current town center of Amherst before it was moved to Spring Street to make room for the Town Common park space. The building dates to the 1820s.

The Potwine House boasts nearly 3,000 square feet of living space. Hills House LLC worked with the new owners of the property to completely modernize the house to contemporary living standards, while maintaining the historic look and feel of the building.

Eric and Jessica Wilkinson agreed to buy the Potwine House in March 2009. The house was completed in August of that year.
